Stardate 990625.22 Today was a very good day. We did not hit the road until after 09:00hrs as we took advantage of the run of the farm house in the morning. We traveled up into Philadelphia and visited Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. To make amends for our more "northerly experience" I treated the family to a round of street vendor cooked Philly Cheese Steaks. Our morale was greatly improved. We took off for Valley Forge at 14:00. We got turned around a time or two and ended up approaching the park from the northwest. We toured most of the park and discovered herds of deer that are prolific throughout the whole park. We had to avoid hitting a fawn that seemed intent to cross the road. We left the park at 17:00 just in time for Friday rush hour from Philly and Wilmington. We arrived back in Dover at 19:30hrs. We took some great photos with McQuack today. We found a long rifle as an accessory which came in handy for the picture at Valley Forge. Tomorrow will be a long day with several stops in Maryland and Pennsylvania. We will be hitting the road very early and will return late. To date the car has traveled almost 2200 miles and we have traveled about 2500 miles.
