Stardate 990624.22

We woke up at 04:30hrs and was successfully on the road at 06:40. We bade our sincere thanks to Scott and Tonya for their most excellent hospitality and drove by McCabe Woods for good measure. We arrived at Fall River, MA around 10:00hrs and took a picture of the house my father grew up in. Learning from our experiences we gassed up and ate in Rhode Island before entering Connecticut to save money.
I decided to brave mid-town New Tork at 14:00. There was serious traffic, but we made it out alive after running through the Bronx and Manhattan. Jenny got a dollar stratch off in New Jersey and won $20. Figuring that that was the best I could get out of New Jersey we left. I did make sure that the family did see the World Trade Centers and the Empire State Building as the visibilty was quite good.
After a commincations fault we contacted Uncle Norm and we arrives shortly before 19:00hrs. We were set up in a most excellent farm house; one I will have a tough time leaving. We will be making a modification to out plans for tomorrow. I plan to go to Philly and Valley Forge tomorrow after giving the troops some time to sleep. I was shown a good route to Carlisle, PA right through Amish country towards Gettysburg on 6/26. Uncle Norm let me borrow some serious maps for Gettysburg and Philly which will be in good use in the next two days. We plan on visiting some on Sunday before our 3-4 hour trek to Fredericksburg on that day.
Overall it was a good day. Romulan (Highway Patrol) activity was low and Klingon (trucker) activity was high. I did point out Rotten Groton and Yale University when we were flying by at warp 6.5. I am now looking forward to a sonic shower and some needed rest tonight. The vehicle performed quite well after we did a bit of preventative maintainence. The car has traveled about 1700 miles to date and we have traveled about 2000 miles.
